At Brefni we take pride in giving back to the communities in which we operate. We demonstrate our commitment through staff engagement and initiatives such as the Vinnies CEO Sleepout which is an annual event where CEOs sleep rough for one night to help change the lives of Australians in need and the Oxfam Trailwalker, an inspiring and challenging event that changes lives, and every step we take helps raise vital funds to support people living in poverty.

The Vinnies CEO Sleepout is a one-night event over one of the longest and coldest nights of the year.
Hundreds of CEOs, business owners as well as community and government leaders sleep outdoors to support the many Australians who are experiencing homelessness and people at risk of homelessness. Each CEO Sleepout participant commits to raising thousands of dollars to help Vinnies provide essential services to the people who need them.
Brefni’s CEO Tom Brady first participated in 2011, raising $4,500 to this great cause. Tom continued participating in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 and in 2020, raising over $150,000 over the years.
Oxfam Trailwalker is Australia’s original 100km team challenge. The Sydney leg is a 100km walk through bush trails from Brooklyn on the Hawkesbury River to Tania Park in Balgowlah Heights. Teams of four start together, stick together and finish together all within 36 hours.
In 2019, almost 1,500 teams took part in Oxfam Trailwalker across Australia, with the support of more than 2,000 volunteers and 4,500 support crew members, and raised more than $5 million.
Brefni had two teams support Oxfam Australia in 2019, help raise vital funds to support people living in poverty. We raised thousands of dollars for this great cause.
