Brefni Site staff and Management are very amenable to an open discussion and drive a positive Safety culture. Brefni are very knowledgeable when it comes to the environment, always being proactive and implementing the most appropriate controls. Senior Management can always be contactable should any problem be encountered, and these problems have been fixed quickly. Brefni resource projects correctly, ensuring that the number of staff on site are sufficient to meet programme. These resources also ensure the service provided by Brefni is high quality, one of their key strengths. Brefni are very adaptable, meeting any changes in scope. The plant provided by Brefni has never had an issue, having all records online greatly helps a speedy on boarding. The quality of the Estimating and Commercial departments are another key reason we do repeat business with Brefni. They are very fair and reasonable, a pleasure to deal with and tenders submitted are consistently better value than Brefni's competitors. Brefni’s quality of work is very good considering the working conditions encountered on this project. Environmental controls are good, and the site teams have been excellent with their responses to any questions or requests we have had. The ability to work to program is excellent, additional field supervision has been provided which has made a significant difference in the daily production. I cannot say enough about the professionalism and courtesy of staff when interacting with signal energy staff. It is completely likely that I would recommend Brefni as we have been very satisfied with their performance.

From our initial meetings, Brefni had good suggestions & the cooperation flowed through the whole execution phase. We didn't push for a fixed finish date but the work has fitted in with our project timeline. We had Engineers request changes at different stages & the Brefni response was immediate without any conflicts or drama. The quality of the final job was excellent, and the safety performance was excellent. James was proactive in planning & organising the work & very transparent with his explanations for variations. This was the first time I've used Brefni on a large Civil contract in BlueScope & I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Operating under an occupied school environment is a difficult task, however Brefni performed very well in the delivery of safety, quality and environmentally. The Project Manager and site staff provided excellent service and went the extra mile to deliver a quality outcome for the client. The diverse skillset of the project team was a benefit to the delivery of a successful project. As this project was located directly opposite a beach, they ensured that sediment management was reviewed daily through the project duration. The Brefni Senior management and project team were very accessible to concerns about service and delivery. They always provided their time when they were requested to and were professional to deal with when contract variations arose. The Brefni Management team were professional to deal with from start to finish. During the post completion period Brfeni representatives responded to minor matters on site in a timely manner. Brefni were a pleasure to work with and delivered a quality finished project on behalf of the Department of Education South Coast, I would be very comfortable in recommending them to a colleague.

Brefni were involved in a difficult bridge refurbishment above train lines. The major and critical possessions were timed very well in terms of programme - very pleasing. Brefni’s Project Manager Stuart was fairly responsive and reactive to any concerns or queries Sydney Trains had. He endeavoured to find solutions to problems which was advantageous for the project. We were very fortunate to have a PM from inception to end of project and understand all intricacies of the project. Stuart led his team from the beginning and worked well with sub-contractors to execute what needed to be done. It has been a pleasure to work with Brefni on this project. Brefni’s management communication and responsiveness with the Sydney Trains has been impressive, making themselves readily available when required. Brefni were contracted to perform a Retaining Wall Reconstruction on the Princess Highway at Russell Vale. Wollongong City Council found their performance in terms of Safety, Quality and Environmental as good. The difficult and constrained site was managed well, site documentation and final submissions of WAE documentation was of good quality and any environmental site issues were managed well throughout the works. The overall tender value and submitted variations were fair. Brefni were excellent in cooperation, very responsive to all Wollongong City Council requests and managed the works in a cost-efficient manner. The project had the correct mix of staff, very experienced and knowledgeable in addition to being quite adaptable with altered programme due to latent conditions and site constraints. Wollongong City Council were very satisfied with the work and would recommend Brefni to others.

Brefni were contracted by National Parks and Wildlife Service to renew fire trails within Oolambeyan National Park. As we are environmental agency, biosecurity is a major concern. Brefni followed our instructions to the letter and didn't disturb anything outside the construction footprint. All plant and machinery came onsite clean to manage biosecurity. We were very happy with the site management and finished product. The tender price was very competitive, with no variations after the project kicked off. Communication was excellent from RFT to project close off. Perry Stafford had excellent communication and provided regular updates without being prompted. This included communication regarding delays caused by weather. While there were project delays due to weather, Brefni put mitigation measures in place to finish ASAP. We have recommended Brefni to other branches of NPWS and look forward to working with them again.
